Do you have a problem with time management? If you do, you have two main options. One of those options and often the most popular is to continue on with your normal activities. Unfortunately, doing so may have a negative impact on your personal life, as well as your work life. The other option is to make a change. The good news is that there a number of steps that you can take to improve your time management.

As for what you can do to improve your time management, you will see that a number of different approaches can be taken. Goal setting, to do lists, limiting tasking, prioritizing, and outsourcing are all effective ways to manage your time, but they are also just a few of your options. As for why you should learn and practice proper time management, there are a number of reasons why, five of which are outlined below.

1 – It Is Easy To Do

As previously summarized, you have a number of different options when looking to make better use of your time. These options are all easy and cost effective ways. In fact, creating goals and task lists for yourself is free of charge. Since it is easy for you to learn and practice proper time management techniques, why would you want to do anything else?

2 – It Is Important To Your Personal Life

As previously stated, having a poor sense of time management has a number of serious consequences, one of those being your personal life. If you regularly pay your bills late, don’t make contact with friends, or arrive home later than normal, you may be hurting your personal relationships and often in more ways than you could have ever imagined. Friends, spouses, and romantic partners will likely not want to put up with this behavior for long.

3 – It Is Important For Your Job

Poor time management will not only negatively effect your personal life, but your work life as well. If you do not know how to properly manage your time, you may get easily distracted. This may result in you wasting company time. If you are caught doing so repeatedly, you may find yourself terminated from your current position. This can also have a negative impact on your personal life, as it may leave your finances in serious trouble.

4 – It Is Something That You Can Only Benefit From

Taking the time to learn and practice successful time management techniques can only benefit you, your work, and your personal relationships. Since no money technically needs to be spent on time management tools or training, you have nothing to lose, but everything to gain. It is also important to ask yourself again the important question of “why not?” Why not improve your life with the learning and practicing of time management techniques?

5 – The Options That You Have

Once again, it is important to focus on the options that you have when looking to learn and practice proper time management. Creating a set of goals and a task list is easy and free to do. Alarm clocks and timers can also be used to help you make better use of your time. You likely already own a traditional alarm, but your cell phone, computer, and television may also come equipped with alarm clocks as well.

As a reminder, there are a number of other time management tools and techniques that you can easily learn and practice all from the comfort of your own home.

My car front screen wiper was worn down and only wiped part of the rain water away, so it was very dangerous to drive in the rain as my vision was unclear. So I needed to replace the old with a new and functional wiper. When it comes to cars, I have to up my hands up, I don’t know much about it as for me it’s only a vehicle that takes me from place to place, all I know is stick in the key and turn on the engine put my feet on the accelerator and drive.

I parked my car and walked in the car accessories store and looked for a window wiper. What I found was there were many different types of wipers and I didn’t know which one would fit my car. Therefore I walked back and took a look, and honestly I couldn’t tell the different between the different models. The best solution was to take off the wiper and bring it into the store. With my “can do” attitude, I tried to take that off. However it was much harder than I thought. I wasted about 5 minutes trying my very best to take the wiper down, whilst I could see people around staring at me, on in the end felt silly and gave up.
I went in the store, everyone was busy and one service guy there approached me, this guy looked a bit strange and slow. Can he solve my problem, I asked myself. However at that time I had no choice. I explained what I needed and he came out to the car with me. He looked at the wiper and knew what the problems was and took off the wiper at the middle. I would never have figured out that the secret to taking the wiper off was to take it off from the middle. He took the wiper back to the store and within a minute, he came back with a new wiper. He installed that for me and seemed to be a very easy job for him. The whole new wiper and the service only cost me $12.00. This was lower than the price I expected to pay.

What I’ve learnt out of this is: Get someone to help and do the job if you cannot. The expert in the field can do a better job then you and at a cheaper price too. If you are new to business, do not try to do everything yourself. If you get stuck, ask someone who is more experienced then you. I notice a lot of internet marketing newbies try to be everything themselves. From copy writing to graphic design, handling customer, sale letter writing etc. They end up producing some amateur graphics and poor written sale letters. If you truly want your business to grow fast, try to leverage others expertise. Even if that requires some investment from the beginning. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you get stuck. In order to reach our goals we need to identify what we actually want, take actions, review our strategies and adjust our action according. When we come to review our strategies, having a mentor is the greatest resource and a short cut to success. A mentor will be able to identify your weaknesses and strengths and will help you to step back and look at the big picture of your business with a fresh perspective. Your mentor will also set you a greater challenge with higher goals to aim for. Mentorship to me is very simple, you have to find someone who already produces the result that you want, ask them for help and build a long term coaching relationship. You need to find a person whom you trust and respect, whom is willing to share their experiences and that is also keen to support you.

Here is my experience when I seek a mentor. First I look at people who have the result I want. I am currently focusing on building my internet marketing business; therefore I’ll seek someone who is already successful, already a full time marketer and has their own product. I came up with a list of prospect mentors, and then I find out about their work, doing my research to see whether their style fits in my business model. I was very lucky to find a great internet marketing guru call Alex Jefferys. He became a guru within a very short period of time and he specializes in coaching and mentoring people. My second mentor is called John Thornhill, he is a powerseller on ebay and his classic book 90 days powerseller challenge is all over the internet for free downloading. He runs his own mentoring program as well with. In order for the mentorship to work well, some initiatives are required by you.

1. You are ready to be coached and ready to make the change. When the student is ready, the teacher will show up. If you are not prepared to make the change and feel uncomfortable then please do not bother your mentor. They have other things to do, if they spend time coaching you and you are not teachable, then you are wasting your money and time, so as your mentor

2. Take action on your mentor’s advice. Simple chatting with your mentor will never get any result, after a session identifies your strength and weaknesses. Follow your mentor’s advice and take action to improve whatever you need to improve.

3. Keep following up with your mentor. Tracking and follow up is very important for the mentorship to work, adjust your approach and keep track of what’s working and what’s not.

4. Be thankful to your mentor. Mentorship is a long term relationship; you are counting on someone who is more experienced than you to give you advice. Often after the mentorship, people become business partners.

I’m actively seeking more mentors to improve different fields of my life. I need to pay for some of them but all the money I spend is worthwhile for the benefit I get from it.

What really gives you the drive to get up early and stay up late working? What gets you excited? It is important to identify the factors that motivate you and keep you in business. People may not ask themselves these questions that often, because this requires them to think deeply and to be honest with themselves. Most of the people do not like to think, they like to be told. They would rather spend time to respond to the next stimuli and keep up with the Jones, buying the latest toys, clothes, car etc. They never look inside their heart about what they really need and want. If you fail to identify what motivates you, you will never understand yourself and you will never find true happiness.

Your motivators will give you the energy you need to go against the odds. It will give you the courage to walk out of your comfort zone and do something different. You will learn to have the power to stay in business long enough to reap the rewards.

It is important to know what motivates you as this may not motivate others. Successful marketers know what motivates them and they have also learnt what motivates others. In order to be able to understand yourself make things simple and this will help you to make a decision much quicker and stay with it for longer. With the ability to identify what motivates other people this will help you to trigger their demand for your products and services.

Here are some questions and answers to help identify what motivates you to become an internet marketer.
What is going to motivate you to keep learning? As you first start the learning curve is steep, there are many things to learn and you need to keep up with the latest technology and control your resources. Since I started getting serious about becoming a successful marketer, learning has become my first priority. The idea of being able to keep up and give advice to others is my biggest motivator in learning.

What motivate you to take action and follow through? You may buy a lot of training material but never follow through to complete any one of them. This is the blind spot for internet marketing newbie’s. The courses brought need to be implemented and then the result will show later on. Simply purchasing the latest and biggest course will not make people rich. I committed myself to practicing article writing. I focus on this strategy a lot and the idea of using articles to generate free traffic and branding myself as an expert keeps me going.

What motivates you to walk out from your comfort zone? Doing things differently always generates new results and the results could be very rewarding. I never of thought that I can write a 500 word article per day, but the more I write, the more confident I am becoming at expressing myself. I used to feel uncomfortable when expressing my opinion and I would keep my mouth shut.

Try to analysis yourself in a deeper way, identify what motivate you. Therefore you can have more energy, courage and passion.

After you have created your blog or webpage, the next thing to get everything working for your website is you need traffic. It is like the blood of your business. For traditional retail stores, location is the key for walk-in traffic, the more foot traffic around your store the higher the chance you’ve got of someone walking in and making a purchase. The same thing applies to your online website. How do you attract more traffic online? It depends on how many links are connecting to your site. Here are few tips you can use to generate more traffic.

1. Write your own ebook.
Having your own ebook published is the fastest way to grow your business, when you offer your ebook as a free download it lets your customers send it on and share with others. Gradually there will be a lot of back link to your website. Writing an ebook seems a hard task, but it will draw the most targeted customer to your business. Once you have your own ebook, you will be seen as an expert.

2. Write a short report
It could just be a 10 line short report, providing quality content for a particular niche market. You can help to solve their problems and then direct them back to your main site. Write and submit an article to multiple article directories, this strategy is called article marketing. You need to promote yourself as an expert in the specific directory field, and give a different perspective to the topic. There are many article directories online and they demand quality articles to enhance their site. Remember to put in your bio, and call for action. Asking customer to click back to your main website

3. Add their link to your autoresponder
You should have a link on each follow up email, to link them back to your main site and offer.

4. Take part in a forum discussion.
For example, if you are interested in personal development, type in google “personal development forum”. Take part in the discussion, give advice and value, asking questions or interact in the discussion. However do not spam the forum; you’ll be blocked by the administrator if you do so.

5. Contact potential joint venture partners
Find out who is doing the similar things as you do. Instead of being a competitor, try to work a plan together, use each other’s strength in a constructive way. You may do an ad swap with your joint venture partners, so you can tap into their resources.

There are many ways to generate traffic online, but if you are new, try to pick one and master it then move on to the next strategy. Do not give up if you can’t see the immediate effect, always adjust your method and keep improving. Your business will grow gradually if you have consistent effort.

My brain likes to play plays tricks on me from time to time. A prime of example for me is when I am struggling to think of a solution to a problem, I think really hard but I still do not come up with a good solution, but then when I am not thinking about the problem, the solution will just pop into my head completely unexpectedly. I am sure this happens to everyone at some point in their life – right. Have you ever thought of a great idea during the day, but then when you try and remember the idea later on you can’t?

In order for me to capture all my ideas, I carry a notebook with me all the time. I write down my ideas whenever they pop up in my head, so that I won’t forget them. Sounds crazy but these ideas could be worth a million, you just never know, so if you don’t action them you can’t implement them. Here are a few tips on how you could avoid the loss of a million dollar idea.

1. Carry a note book with you at all times.
   Always have pen and paper so that you can write down your ideas, ideas could come anytime, some most unexpected. When it comes, write them down and review them later.
2. Use your cell phone.
   Most of the cell phone today will have a record function. Be familiar with this function, therefore you can record your ideas
3. Review your notes daily
   Your notes is a snapshot of your thoughts, review them daily and see whether there is a trend there. Check whether your mind set is working towards your goal.
4. Keep a success journal

A traceable record of what you’ve done is important to your long term success. You can review it on a regular bases, and make adjustments to your action if need be. Record your success and any positive thoughts about yourself as ,this will help you to see how far you’ve gone. This will give you extra motivation and keep you on track.

If you find there is a workable solution to your problem, do not delay. Hit the ideas when it is fresh, work out a plan to implement the idea and keep tracking it.

Have you ever set your sights on achieving a higher goal? Do you always chase your dreams? Do you want to enhance the life’s of others? Well, all of these are achievable if you have a vision and you use the power of a 1% growth technique.

I’m sick of being mediocrity, and finding myself continuously losing my passion towards life. If I continue life the way I have always done I know I will end up  eventually dying without any purpose, so whilst I’m alive I have decided to bite the bullet and change myself and demand more from myself.

Writing is always a challenging topic for me. I’m not a native English speaker and I didn’t pay much attention in my English classes. When I used to hand in my written work, I would find it a big struggle as I knew in the back of my mind that   my marks wouldn’t be good. This negative self image always haunts me and has done over the years, and the worst thing is – I did NOTHING to change the situation, and therefore the problem continued to grow even bigger.. I found myself acting like a coward running away from my problem knowing that it will keep going from bad to worst. I am sure that many of you can relate to my experience. It is very important that you face your current challenges and do not keep trying to put things off?

Finally, I have come to realize I must do something. My vision is become a successful full time internet marketer. Then I will be able to work anywhere in the world as long as there is an internet connection.  I need to find a way to spend more time with my family and friends.  I don’t want to have to worry about my financial situation and I want to be able to travel to all the places that I have dreamed about. However I must overcome my weakness.

The most effective way to cure any weakness you have is to face it head on. Have courage and make the move. I do not try to fix my problems in one day, but I am committed to doing something each day to improve myself. Here is what I found.

Ask yourself this question: If you are really committed to improving yourself, could you improve by 1% today? You see, 1% is not huge, I’m sure whatever you do, you could find a way to improve by 1% today. Seem very tiny and not significance at the time, but if you do that over a period of time, amazing things will happen.

Let’s assume 100% is the unit to represent your current income, talent, character, strength, knowledge etc. If tomorrow you’ll increase by 1% and become 101%, what will you become in 30 days with 1% growth?

After 30 days, It’s 134%.
After 60 days, it’s 182%
After 90 days, it’s 245%

Do you get the idea? After 90 days, you’ll become another person already! Imagine if you started to use this method in the past 90 days, how would you feel today? How far you would you has got today?

Most internet marketers have a full time day job, a family to look after and they have to cope with daily chores as well as the running of a part-time internet business. Our time becomes so precious to us, and we cannot afford to let a day go by without any achievement.  We can sit in front of a computer checking the latest product launch, listening to business related audio programs, watching webinars, downloading courses and eBooks etc the list goes on, but at the end of the day we are  not making  the most of the material we learnt. Here is my top tip on how to absorb a massive amount of information and how to apply it.

When you come across any multimedia training material, play the material using Windows Media Player. Right click on the program and another menu comes up; choose “Enhancements” then “Play Speed Settings”. Adjust the speed to 1.4 or even higher. It may sound a bit strange when you play an audio at this speed, but you’ll get used to it very quickly. By doing this you are saving 25%-50% of your time. I got through an hour online presentation in just 30 minutes, I fully understood the material and I didn’t fall asleep, so I guarantee you won’t either.

Adjust to the speed that is comfortable with you, and when your mind is comfortable with the speed, try putting the speed up a bit higher. Do this a few times, I find playing at 1.7 level is most comfortable for me.

Here is what I do:

1. Make myself comfortable, drink small amounts of water, close my eyes and enter a relaxation state of mind. Try to imagine a light bulb at the upper back of your brain, about 30 cm up. As you focus more imagine the light bulb is getting brighter and brighter. I learnt this technique from a speed reading course, which can help your mind to stay, focused and helps prepare you to take in information in a very short period of time.
2. Ask yourself what you want to get out of the material you reading. How is this course going to benefit me. Go through any training material with a purpose.
3. Have your pen and paper ready. When you come to something that’s important, turn the speed down and write down some key words. Do not write sentences. Those key words will be used like a trigger, helping you to remember what you’ve gone through.
4. When you finish playing the file, spend some time organizing your thoughts. Try to draw them out in a sensible way, usually I use the keywords I wrote down and put them into a mind map.
5. Think how you can apply the new knowledge you’ve just listened to. This step is really important, if you don’t know how you are going to apply your knowledge, then what is the point of going through all the training?
6. Write out briefly about how you feel. This point is trying to capture your emotions after the learning. If you want to recall the material in the future, try to link back the feeling you felt after you have learnt the material.

I studied a 6 hour webinar in 4 hours. That is 2 hours of saved time. Imagine you can save 20 minutes each time you go through hour of training. How is that going to impact your life if you do this every day? Think of how much more knowledge you will have after just 1 month? For me the answer is tremendous.

 How to cure your writing phobia and enjoy writing for profit as of today.

In order to become a successful internet marketer you have to be able to communicate well and be original, this is a vital element of your success. How well you present yourself and how good the material you are selling depends on how good your writing skill is.

 Most people are scared to write, because of our negative past experience. All the images and sounds of our teacher at school writing on the blackboard correcting our grammar, punctuation and generally teaching us things which meant nothing at the time start to come back and haunt. But now is your chance to make a better future for you and your family. Before you can excel with your writing power you need to be able to overcome your weakness from your past getting in the way.

Here is how you can overcome your writing phobia: Get an alarm clock and set the timer for 30 minutes. Now write whatever comes in to your mind. Tell yourself, although my writing may not be perfect I shall be proud of whatever I write.

Try to write something you’re familiar with, choose a specific topic you feel passionate about or it’s easier for you write about a major challenge you are facing at the moment. People know their problem well, because they think about it, worry about it, mediate it and project it.

Draw out all your ideas on a mind map. It is much easy to start if you know the whole concept you’re going to write about. Do not limit yourself when drawing out your mind map for your topic. Put as much thoughts on paper as possible. Then take 5 important points from it.

Get a pen and paper and start to write, do not worry about your grammar or sentence structure. Just think, this is a conversation to your closest friend and using the language you would use over the phone and describe the things you want to share. You’ll soon have your short article written. The key is to get over your negative self worth and start writing straight away.

Look at your work after a day, come back to it and re-write it, this is the final stage where you can fine tune your article. The final step, get others to read your article or hire someone to correct your grammar, with practice you’ll see your writing skill improving.

If you are in touch with the internet marketing world, you would have probably heard the saying “The money is in the list” , but for those of you that don’t know what a ‘list’ is let me explain here for you.

The list is referring to a list of email addresses you capture from your website, from people that have clicked on your website link as they are interested in what your website offers. These people are money to you as they are your potential business in the future, as they have agreed to receive your commercial emails and product offers on a regular basis.. If you own your list this gives you the option to broadcast your messages anytime of day or night to your subscriber.

The internet marketer’s who are really successful are those that have a huge subscriber list, that they target on a regular basis. The marketer providers quality information to their subscriber and builds a business relationship with them. So, in other words, a list is your customer base. This concept related to any business, regardless of whether you’re a doctor, lawyer, real estate agent, plumber, electrician or tutor. Your customer base is always your gold mine.

It is critical to continue to build a good relationship with your customer. In the online world this is done by an auto-respond tool. Once you have captured your visitors and they sign up with their email address to your site, their email will then become part of the auto responder database which means that a pre-written email is sent out to them on a regular basis. The pre-written email that the e-marketer sends to their subscriber could tell the subscriber whatever the marketer feel’s they should know, eg: special deals, completing surveys etc.

Statistics have proven that every email on your list is worth a value of $1 per month. I am not sure if I am convinced that this is true, but I do spend money buying the offers when I’m on a marketing list. Imagine if you have a large targeted list? All you then need is to find some related products to promote to your subscribers. All you then do is broadcast to your list by auto responder and then go and relax, have dinner, watch TV, and then when you come back you can count the sales you’ve made.

Whenever you need money, send an offer to your list, and the money will flow into your bank account. This will be your ultimate very own money printing machine. Sounds too good to be true right?

It does work but building your list from the ground up can be challenging it takes a lot of time, patience and the will to learn and adapt to new things.
